Southford Falls State Park : ウィキペディア英語版 | Southford Falls State Park
Southford Falls State Park is a Connecticut state park in the towns of Oxford and Southbury, Connecticut. ==History== At the turn of the 20th century, this was the site of a Diamond Match Company factory that manufactured cardboard. The factory was destroyed by fire in 1923. The site was ceded to the state in 1927. Scenic waterfalls are at the southeast end of the park on Eight Mile Brook, which forms much of the border between the towns of Oxford and Southbury. Eight Mile Brook drops steeply from Lake Quassapaug to the Housatonic River which provided power for the early industrial complex there.
